Adam was born and raised in Alabama and is an alumnus of Auburn University, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and Georgetown University, where he completed his anesthesia training. After five years in Washington, D.C., he relocated to Eugene, Oregon in 2018 and has proudly lived in and served the Eugene–Springfield community since. In 2023, Adam founded Emerald Valley Anesthesia, LLC, with the goal of providing high-quality anesthesia services while making a positive local impact.
Adam is passionate about physical and mental health and believes in a well- rounded, patient-centered approach to medicine. He is deeply focused on strengthening anesthesia coverage for EVA’s clients and fostering a supportive, sustainable work environment for his growing team. Outside of work, Adam enjoys rock climbing, triathlons, skiing, and exploring the Pacific Northwest with his wife, Dana, and their three young daughters. His adventures include summiting Mt. Rainier, completing multiple Ironman triathlons, and traveling extensively for climbing. He once even placed a drive in the fairway, circa 2025.

Mark Bennett Jr., DNP, CRNA was raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he developed a strong work ethic and commitment to service. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Northern Iowa and his nursing and anesthesia training at the University of Iowa. Mark gained broad experience in high-acuity surgical and critical care settings before earning his Doctor of Nursing Practice and practicing in both critical access hospitals and large academic medical centers. Now based in the Pacific Northwest, Mark is passionate about providing safe, personalized anesthesia care, with a special interest in regional techniques that enhance patient comfort and recovery. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, fishing, hunting, and staying active with his wife, Amy.

Born in Louisiana, Paul Cooper comes from a long line of trailer dwellers. He attended Louisiana State University and Southern University making him less red around the neck than Adam and his Auburn University alma mater. He joined the United States Navy at the tender age of 30 and went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Anesthesia from the Uniformed Services University in 2011. He has been stationed around the United States and various other countries. Retiring from the Navy in 2023, he has finally decided to settle down in Oregon. He enjoys Pina Coladas and getting caught in rain or maybe he just likes the song?

Jean has worked as a Medical Assistant for over 14 years, with the last 5 years working in procedure based settings. She has a passion for helping others and takes great pride in providing quality care to her patients.
She grew up in Bakersfield, California and has always had a strong love for nature and exploration. She married her high school sweetheart, and together they have 3 boys.

Jeff was born and raised in the Memphis, TN area, where he attended Memphis State University for a BA in History and French, then went on to obtain a MA in French History from Northern Illinois University. During a summer interlude obtaining his private pilot’s license, an instructor was a nurse anesthetist. Fast forward and he’s back to school and obtained his BSN and MSN from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. After traveling for work he landed in Central Oregon and has been there until today.

Taylor was born and raised in Corvallis, Oregon. After graduating high school, he completed two years of AmeriCorps with the National Civilian Community Corps and Habitat for Humanity. He then enlisted in the US Army where he received most of his healthcare training. After finishing his undergraduate degree at University of Washington, he was commissioned as an Officer and worked as an ICU nurse for five years. In 2012 he started his anesthesia training, later receiving his graduate degree from Northeastern University.

Brendan began his nursing career in 2013 after graduating from California State University, Northridge. He worked six years at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, including four years in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit and two years in the Pediatric Critical Care Transport Team. Brendan continued his journey to become a CRNA at Wake Forest University, where he earned a Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia in 2022. He then moved to Oregon, where he lives with his wife and their dog, Ludo. Outside of work, he sails, surfs, gardens, and tinkers with woodworking projects. Professionalism and safety are pillars of his practice.

Born in Nepal, Jeevan began his distinguished career in healthcare and military service in 2009, when he both entered the nursing profession and commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, he advanced his clinical expertise through the elite U.S. Army Graduate Program in Anesthesia Nursing at Northeastern University. There, he earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and became a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in 2016. Committed to lifelong learning and leadership, he further expanded his professional versatility by obtaining an MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2021. Throughout his tenure as a U.S. Army medical professional, Jeevan has delivered critical anesthesia care across the globe, serving in diverse domestic and international duty stations including Texas , Washington, Hawaii, South Korea, Germany, and Missouri. His career is marked by a unique blend of doctoral-level clinical skill and executive acumen, developed while supporting the mission of the Army Medicine.
Outside of his professional and military
obligations, Jeevan is an avid world traveler who cherishes the time he spends exploring new cultures and creating memories with his family.

Dr. Grace Franklin, DNAP, CRNA is a board-certified nurse anesthesiologist
known for her calm presence, clinical precision, and patient-centered care. She practices across ambulatory surgery centers and hospital settings, with
experience in both high-acuity and independent anesthesia. Her approach is
evidence-based, trauma-conscious, and grounded in patient safety, comfort, and trust. Grace is valued for her steady leadership, collaborative style, and ability to put patients at ease during vulnerable moments. At the heart of her practice is a commitment to compassionate, thoughtful care—for both patients and the teams she works alongside.

Lori was born in Nashville, TN and was raised throughout the Midwest, including time spent in Il, MO, NV, and KS. She is an Alumni of William Jewell College, Research College of Nursing and University of Southern California. After graduating from the USC Keck School of Medicine with a Masters of Anesthesiology, Lori made her way to Portland, OR where she continues to live. Lori has 16 plus years of experience providing anesthesia in a variety of settings.

Stephanie graduated from the University of Southern California in 2008. Following graduation, she relocated to Northern Illinois to be closer to family, where she practiced for twelve years. In 2020, she moved to the Oregon coast, where she now resides with her family and numerous pets. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and appreciating the region’s natural beauty. Stephanie is deeply committed to providing safe, compassionate patient care. “I recognize that I often meet patients only moments before what can be a highly anxiety-provoking procedure. I remain mindful of this immense trust placed in me.”

Rachel has been in advanced practice for 16 years. When not working, she enjoys living in Central Oregon and spending time with her family. In the next 3 months, there might be as many as 4 more to add.

Logan Asay became an RN after serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. After several years as an ICU RN he discovered the profession of Nurse Anesthesiology in the OR. He then enrolled in Georgetown University’s Nurse Anesthesia Masters program. In 2016, he graduated as valedictorian, narrowly beating out Adam, a fact Logan gently likes to remind him of on occasion.
Currently, Logan specializes in outpatient and regional anesthesia.

Kris Bosque is a CRNA with 9 years of experience and a proud 2016 Georgetown University graduate. He has spent the last 5 years working in state policy and procedural efforts advancing the CRNA profession. When he’s not in the OR, he’s traveling (or surviving airports with kids), snowboarding, or playing and watching hockey—the undisputed greatest sport.

Brenna discovered anesthesia when working as an RN in the Operating Room at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, CA. From the OR, she transferred to the ICU and applied for CRNA school. She completed the Nursing Program at California State University, Chico in 1995 and graduated from Samuel Merritt University School of Nursing with her Masters in Anesthesia in 2003. After her CRNA school completion, Brenna took her first job at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Fresno, California, and from there has worked in many different Hospitals and Surgery Centers, in California, Oregon and even the Mayo Clinic in Arizona.

Both Jackie and Kyle were born and raised in Michigan, each attending Saginaw Valley State University for their undergraduate degrees. They met while obtaining their doctoral degrees at The University of Michigan (Go Blue!). The pair moved to Oregon following graduate school and fell in love with everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Although they have since moved back to the Midwest, they still use working with Emerald Valley as an excuse to visit their second home state.

Kristen is a Pacific Northwest native and longtime west coast resident. She started her healthcare career as a pediatric intensive care nurse in Washington and Northern California. She finished anesthesia training in 2016, graduating from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA. Kristen had worked in a variety of anesthesia settings in California, Washington, and Oregon including large urban centers, surgery centers, and critical access rural hospitals. Kristen has also had extensive training in trauma informed care.
